Magnolia soulangeana - also known as the Saucer Magnolia - is a medium sized tree derived from M. denudata crossed with M. lilliflora. The majority of Magnolias are from East - South East Asia. The Saucer Magnolia is grown for its outstanding display of large perfumed flowers that appear in mid winter. Its best grown in a cooler climate.
