It can be used in a Japanese style gardens where it can be clipped into balls, which make an interesting contrast against dark green foliage or light coloured gravel paths. For best results situated this plant in an open sunny position in moist, fertile, well drained soil. Clip regularly to maintain a neat compact shape.
